The 2025 season long distance (500-750 km) opening was a top success for Sangers Pigeons! The race was postponed for 2 days because of bad weather. After a total of 4 nights in the basket the race from Gien over 559 km was very good for Marcel Sangers:
1st-2nd-7th-15th-36th-45th-69th-74th-96th-etc. LD Club against 1,339 b.
5th-6th-14th-37th-89th-101st-109th-etc. NPO-South against 2,759 b.

The first clocked pigeon with 1495 mpm speed is ‘Blue Strike’ NL24-8212920, 100% G. & S. Verkerk and grandson of ‘Tom’ x ‘Zendaya’ … The 920-24 is half brother to 6. Nat. La Souterraine yearlings 7,368 b. & 10. Nat. old and yearlings 12,611 b.

Clocked as second with 1494 mpm speed is NL24-8622604. His father is ‘Unique Junior’, proven breeder from 2. Nat. Ace KBDB ‘Junior’ (son ‘Best Kittel’) x ‘Mother Best Kittel’ … mother is original Verkerk & h.sister of champion ‘Ponto’.

The third clocked pigeon with 1475 mpm is the best hen of the moment, ‘Avani’ NL22-8117306.
She is aunt of the 1st clock pigeon and direct daughter of ‘Tom’ x ‘Zendaya’ … ‘Avani’ is therefore 100% Verkerk and now winner of 4x top 10 in big competition!
